A PERSISTENT drunk pictured on a website which names and shames troublemakers is behind bars after being spotted on CCTV.
John Clubb, aged 36, of Oram Street, Bury, had been banned from being drunk, drinking or possessing alcoholic in public, and from entering a specified area of the town, when he was made subject to an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) last October.
His picture was put on a website detailing people issued with ASBOs, which was launched by the BurySafe partnership this month.
And an eagle-eyed CCTV camera operator who spotted Clubb drinking a bottle of vodka in Bury town centre also saw him listed on the new online ASBO website.
Clubb was arrested and given a three-month prison sentence for not complying with his ASBO.
Cllr Michelle Wiseman, Bury Council's executive member for safe, strong and confident communities, said: "We are delighted that the community is behind us in publicising these people who have been given ASBOs for terrorising communities and making victims' lives a misery."
