WANDERERS winger Dennis Politic is set to join Italian side Cremonese, according to reports.
The Whites have re-called Politic from his loan spell at League Two side Port Vale and confirmed a bid has been accepted from an unnamed club.
The Romania-born playmaker is now moving closer to home to play in Serie B, according to independent football journalist Emanuel Rosu.
The report claims Cremonese will pay a fee of £50,000 for Politic - who moved to the UK at the age of 12 - and potentially benefit from any future sale.
It also states that the former Manchester United trainee will have a medical tomorrow and is set to be unveiled by the Italian outfit later this week.
Politic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season and he has turned down an offer of a one-year extension.
Last week, Ian Evatt said Wanderers will “move on” from Politic as they aim to bolster the squad in the January transfer window.
“We have other targets, we have other forward options and we offered Dennis a contract, he didn’t sign the contract so we’ve drawn a line under that one and we’ll move on,” said the Bolton boss.
Wanderers have already brought in Dion Charles, Marlon Fossey, Aaron Morley and James Trafford this month.
Politic came through the Whites’ academy and made his first-team debut against Wycombe back in August 2019.
The winger was forced to watch from the sidelines last term after suffering a serious knee injury in a pre-season friendly at Loughborough.
He has scored five goals in 16 appearances for Port Vale this season, including a brace against Burton in the FA Cup last month.
Cremonese sit fourth in the Serie B table – just three points behind leaders Pisa - after taking 35 points from their opening 19 matches.
