SEVERAL motorists have recently been fined for speeding on the A666 St Peter’s Way.
The road is one of the major routes into Bolton and is subject to a 50mph speed limit, monitored by average speed cameras.
The following cases all called at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.
Kyle Greenhalgh drove above the speed limit while behind the wheel of a Mercedes in April between Raikes Lane and Church Lane. The 35-year-old was going at 58mph.
Greenhalgh, of Hulme Road in Bolton, had the case against him proved in November. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.
Heidi Birchall drove at 59mph in a Ford between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in April. The 41-year-old admitted the offence last month.
Birchall, of Chorley New Road, Horwich, was fined £66 and given three points on her licence.
Keith Hargreaves drove at 57mph in a Volkswagen between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in April.
Hargreaves, 55, of Nuttall Avenue, Little Lever, who admitted to the offence, was fined £100 and given three points on his licence.
Graham Lindsay drove at 58mph behind the wheel of a Volkswagen between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in March. The case against the 35-year-old was proved last month.
Lindsay, of Brunswick Court, Bolton, was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.
Sadia Mirza drove at ten miles above the speed limit between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in April. The 32-year-old was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall at the time. Mirza admitted the offence in November.
Mirza, of Bradford Road, Bolton, was fined £40 and hit with three points on her licence.
Kalman Horvath drove at 59 mph between Raikes Lane and Church Road in a Honda in April. The 62-year-old was found to have the committed the offence last month. Horvath, of Boundary Gardens, was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.
