CAMERA crews have returned to Bolton to resume filming for the controversial Jimmy Savile drama The Reckoning.
Production of the BBC mini-series, starring Steve Coogan, has moved to former council offices in Le Mans Crescent.
Crane-mounted arc lights were moved in overnight to recreate daytime scenes inside the grade II listed complex.
Past scenes revolved around the former magistrates court building at the other end of the parade.
The Bolton buildings, which have become a favoured backdrop for TV directors, is understood to be doubling for Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where Savile was a presence for decades.
Coogan has previously spoken about playing Savile was "not a decision I took lightly".
"Neil McKay has written an intelligent script tackling sensitively a horrific story which, however harrowing, needs to be told," he added.
Coogan was previously pictured on set in Bolton wearing what appeared to be a jester's costume.
Director Sandra Goldbacher has claimed the four-part serial will "give a voice" to the survivors of Savile's documented abuse.
