A creative student at Essa Academy amazed headteacher, Martin Knowles, when he appeared at his office door last week with the Essa logo made out of Lego.

The year seven student, Karim Fazley, decided to make the Lego Essa logo during his lunch hours with his Lego Club teacher to give to Martin as he knows he is the 'world's biggest Lego fan.'

Martin said the kind gesture really moved him and its wonderful he found the time to do it in his lunch time.

He said: "All the students know I'm a keen Lego builder, we have a Lego Club at school and Lego therapy for students and to have the Essa logo built and designed by this wonderful young man, it really moved me.

"As the headteacher of Essa and as the biggest Lego fan in the world, it was great to see a student create something so wonderful."
