The NHS opened walk-in vaccination sites in England yesterday to encourage people to get jabbed against COVID-19 ahead of winter.
NHS England is encouraging people aged 12+ to get vaccinated to mitigate the “challenging” winter it is expected to have.
Almost everyone who is registered with a GP lives within 10 miles of a walk-in clinic and the NHS walk-in finder website lists every place that is available.
A first dose of the vaccine is being offered to children aged 12-15 as well as those aged 16 and over.
Those who are eligible for the booster jab can also visit a walk-in centre to get a top-up, and more than six million people have already come forward.
Hundreds of local walk-in vaccination sites offer the COVID-19 booster vaccine.

Who is eligible for the booster jab?
The NHS is offering booster jabs to those aged 50 and over, or those aged 16 and over who have serious health conditions or are carers.
People who are eligible will either be contacted by their GP or local NHS service or can visit a walk-in centre.
You can get a booster dose from a walk-in site if it's been 6 months (182 days) since your 2nd dose and you're either:
- aged 50 or over
- aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19
- Frontline health and social care workers aged 16 and over can also get a booster dose from a walk-in site
Here are all the walk-in clinics in Greater Manchester that are offering the vaccine for those aged 16 and over:
When you arrive at a clinic the staff will ask you some questions to ensure you get the correct vaccine.
