The 'baldy bouncer' of the legendary Phoenix Club returned after nearly 20 years yesterday.
Patrick 'Paddy' McGuinness surprised staff at St Gregory's Club in Church Street, Farnworth, yesterday while also returning to Horwich Leisure Centre, where he worked before his TV fame.
St Gregory's Club was used to film the cult comedy show Phoenix Nights where McGuinness stared as bouncer 'Paddy' alongside Peter Kay with the show ending in 2002.
The club posted the visit on their Facebook page saying: "When Paddy McGuinness just pops in to St Gregory’s to say hi. What a pleasure to meet you."
Paddy revealed that he was in Bolton yesterday filming for his new book, 'My Lifey', also visiting Horwich Leisure Centre.
He posted: "I’ve been doing some filming for my book today and made an impromptu visit to my old works, Horwich Leisure Centre. I worked with all these men well over 20 years ago!"
