The Wanted singer Tom Parker, 33, is allowing cameras into his home after he revealed in October 2020 that he had inoperable stage four cancer.
The film, Inside My Head, follows Bolton pop-star Parker as he arranges a star-studded charity gig at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of Stand Up to Cancer and The National Brain appeal.
The gig saw the reunion of The Wanted after a seven-year hiatus, and stars such as Becky Hill, McFly and Liam Payne.
The moving film, airing on Channel 4, follows Parker’s struggle with intense chemotherapy treatment whilst trying to organise the gig in just a few months.
The Wanted, formed in 2009, announced the release of a new Greatest Hits album and some live performances back in September.
A video was posted on Facebook with the message: “Here we go!! We are MEGA excited to announce that we are BACK and will be releasing our Greatest Hits Album on November 12th!! We’ll also be performing LIVE at the Royal Albert Hall as part of Tom Parker’s ‘Inside My Head’ concert. It’s been far too long… Let’s do this!”
The father-of-two from Tonge in Bolton, has previously said that he will not let cancer “consume” his life and is looking to the future, focusing on his family.
In January, Tom announced that there had been a “significant reduction” in the size of the tumour and that he was “responding well to treatment”.
Tom Parker: Inside My Head is on Channel 4 on Sunday October 10th at 9pm.
