SOCIAL club members are celebrating after its bar won an award praising its standard of drinks for the 10th time.
Bolton’s Ukrainian Social Club, in Castle Street, was recently given the ‘Club of the Year’ award by the Campaign for Real Ale’s Bolton branch, the 10th time it has done so.
Branch chairman Graham Walsh gave the award to Pavlo Hnylycia, who works tirelessly to keep up the high standards, according to the chairman of the Bolton branch of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain, Yaroslaw Tymchyshyn.
He said: “It’s his baby, he looks after it so well. People who aren’t members will come to the club because of the real ales we have on. Graham always says we have got a great variety. Pavlo never keeps the same drink on the bar for too long if he can help it.”
