A PARK was closed off after a young man was stabbed, assaulted and chased into an oncoming car by two other men.
The 23-year-old was assaulted in Queens Park, Bolton before being chased off by the men yesterday evening only to be hit by a car that had mounted the pavement, with police called at around 8.40pm.
Passersby reported seeing the entrance to the park still cordoned off by officers early this morning.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Police were called around 8.40pm yesterday to a report of a male having been assaulted in Queens Park, Bolton.
"Enquiries have since established a 23-year-old man had been assaulted and stabbed by two males in the park.
"The males then chased him out of the park.
No arrests have been made yet.
The spokesperson said: "Following this, a car mounted the pavement on Chorley New Road and hit the male.
"Thankfully he did not suffer serious injuries and has subsequently been released from hospital.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
