WANDERERS will no longer provide on-site betting at the UniBol or enter any new commercial partnerships with betting companies.
The club has pledged to support charities which help those suffering from gambling addiction.
The Whites have also launched 'Team Talk' - which aims to offer mental health support to men over the age of 18 - in partnership with Bolton Council.
Here's what Wanderers fans had to say about the news.
My club 👏 gambling ruins so many lives. Things like this can and should be used as a catalyst for bigger changes! #BWFC https://t.co/seBUcluPAu

Hugely proud that my football club has taken this stance. In this world where nothing seems to matter except cash this is a fantastic moral stance to take. Well done!

There will be people who moan about this but everything our owners seem to do is done with a touch of class. Fully support the way they run the club

Fair play, I love a bet but it’s doesn’t need promoting at the footy, there’s other places to bet without it being plastered everywere

It’s feels strange, but in a good way, to finally be proud of the club again. Sharon Is doing a fantastic job

Well done Bolton. I have no problem with betting or people betting but the way its getting ingrained in sport and the wall to wall adverts is dangerous IMO. Great to see a club take this stance. Hopefully more follow.

Well done. A great stance to take for a club that is the heart of a community
