A CHEF from Bolton cooked up a storm last night (Saturday, September 18) as he produced the poshest menu in the country this weekend.
Paul Heathcote MBE, who grew up in Farnworth, wrote the menu for the G7 Speakers' Conference, which took place at Astley Hall, Chorley, on September 18.
Those attending the conference enjoyed a delicious four-course meal last night - with some of the finest food that Lancashire has to offer.

The G7 Speakers' Conference is an annual meeting which brings together counterparts of The Speaker of The House of Commons - a role currently held by Chorley MP Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
Politicians from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and America met face-to-face for the first time since before the coronavirus pandemic started in March 2020.
Those on the guest list included Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives.
The Bolton-born chef, who has regularly appeared on TV cooking shows throughout his career, spent two years under the guidance of Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons.
He was previously the catering boss at the University of Bolton Stadium and the Whites Hotel.
Here is what was on offer:
Starter - Morecambe Bay shrimps on toasted crumpet.
Intermediate course - Twice baked Lancashire cheese souffle with Champagne sauce and green Lancashire apple salad.
Main course - Sirloin of Angus beef with butter roast potato, grilled king oyster mushroom and red wine jus with broad beans and peas.
Dessert - Paul Heathcote's bread and butter pudding with clotted cream and apricot puree, followed by coffee, Chorley Cakes and Rivington Chocolates.
