POLICE have released a photo of a man they want to speak to in connection with a firearms incident in Lostock yesterday.
Officers were called to Middlebrook Drive at around 9.56am on September 18 following reports of a man approaching a woman and brandishing what was reported as a firearm before walking away - leaving the woman unharmed but alarmed.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Atton, of Bolton CID, said: "We believe that this is an isolated incident at this time and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.
"We would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image as part of our enquiries. Anyone who may know who this man is, or anyone with information is asked to contact 0161 856 5757, quoting reference number 1225 of September 18, 2021."

DCI Kate Atton said yesterday: "We are currently trying to locate this man, who is described as white, aged over 30, around 5'5ins tall, with blonde hair and wearing a hoodie and grey pants.
"He was reported to have been wearing a blue surgical mask at the time of the incident.
"We believe that this is an isolated incident at this time and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.
"Anyone who sees this man is asked to contact 999."
