BOLTON-born television presenter Vernon Kay is set to host ITV's hit show This Morning, according to national reports.

The I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here..is set to present the show for three days, starting at the end of the month.

Nationally it was reported the radio and television presenter will front the show from August 31.

He will step in for Philip Schofield, according to The Daily Mail.

The 47-year-old from Horwich won a legion of new fans after his stint on I'm a Celebrity.

Vernon will be back in Bolton next month as he hosts a special Meet The Stars event at the Platinum Suite of the Bolton Whites Hotel on Saturday, September 4 at 7pm.

The fun-packed evening offers a chance to see Vernon in action and learn about his latest appearances including his new TV show Game of Talents.

Coronation Street stars will be among the guests on the night.

Tickets cost £75 each and include a drink on arrival, two-course dinner, live entertainment and a DJ.
