RIVINGTON'S spectacular Festival of Lights returns this year.
Rivington Heritage Trust staged the very first such event in 2019 which saw the Italian Lake, the Pigeon Tower and Levers Bridge lit up for two nights in March.
There was music, food and drink and light shows.
The event was set to go ahead last year, with tickets selling out in just 48 hours - before Covid forced its cancellation. More than 3,000 people had bought tickets.
But now it is back with tickets set to go on sale on August 27 at 7pm.
The event will take place on October 29 and 30. Tickets are priced £14 for adults and £7 for children, with under-fives going free.
Tickets can be bought at https://www.rivingtonterracedgardens.org.uk and more information is on the Rivington Heritage Trust Facebook page.
