AN extra-time penalty sent Wanderers Under-18s crashing out of the FA Youth Cup at the hands of Port Vale.
Jonathan Crompton's 112th minute spot kick shocked the Bolton youngsters in an entertaining fourth-round clash at the Reebok Stadium.
Whites captain Temitope Obadeyi had put home side in front, but Vale hit back either side of half time through Danny Glover and Jamie Elwell.
Striker Obadeyi, an England youth international and the tie's outstanding player, equalised on 60 minutes before disaster struck for Peter Farrell's young side when substitute Christopher Stokes tripped Luke Chapman in the area.
Crompton coolly sent Wanderers' goalkeeper Tom Brocklehurst the wrong way.
