A HEAD-on crash has closed the main road between Bolton and Darwen.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision between two vehicles on the A666 at Dunscar Bridge.
Firefighters have been using cutting gear to deal with one of the vehicles, which had spun around in the middle of the road.
Commuters are being turned back at either side of the incident.

Police and paramedics are also in attendance at the scene.
Several large vehicles belonging to Frank Barnes are caught behind the Egerton side of the incident.
One of their members of staff is turning back cars after they pass Dunscar Bridge business park.
There is heavy traffic in the area due to the incident.
