Boston Utd 5 Leigh RMI 1
BOSTON piled on the misery for Blue Square North basement side Leigh RMI as they smashed five past Steve Bleasdale's men.
Leigh hit the bar on three occasions at York Street, but Boston showed they knew how to find the net in a devastating display of attacking football.
RMI fell behind on 27 minutes when a low cross from the left went across goalkeeper Tim Dittmer's six-yard box and was tapped in by Matt O'Halloran at the back post.
Mark Smyth hit the bar for the second time with a stinging shot, before Jonathan Rowen doubled Boston's advantage with a thumping header.
Boston extended their lead seven minutes into the second half when Rowen grabbed his second of the game, before Kieran Leabon netted a fourth.
Andy Wright hit the bar for the visitors, before Robin Gibson reduced the arrears.
However, Boston were not done yet and Jon Froggatt netted a fifth to send the visitors home with their tails well and truly between their legs.
