A further two people have died from coroanvirus at the Royal Bolton Hospital, according to the NHS.
Data released yesterday by the NHS showed that one person had died from Covid-19 on July 9, with another person dying on July 11 at the hospital.
This takes the total amount of people who have died from coronavirus at the hospital since the start of the pandemic to 676.
The first death at the hospital occurred on March 20 of last year.
These two deaths have come as cases and the number of patients requiring treatment for Covid-19 at the hospital has increased.
In the seven days to July 8 Bolton recorded 931 new positive cases of Covid-19, equalling an infection rate of 323.8 cases per 100,000 residents.
This is an increase from the previous seven days, to July 1, where the town recorded an infection rate of 306.7 cases per 100,000 residents.
As of July 6, the latest data available, the NHS said there were 46 people being treated for coronavirus at the hospital, an increase compared to June 28, where 25 patients were being treated.
This includes 10 patients who are on mechanical ventilators.
