BOLTON Unison Branch Secretary, Andrea Egan, has been elected to serve on the Union's National Executive Council.
Unison announced the result of its bi-annual NEC elections on Friday June 11.
Andrea said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been elected.
"With so many concerns about pay, cuts to public services and the ongoing pandemic, this is a crucial time for our union and our members.
"This is an important role where it is vital to represent the interests of union members."
Karen Reissmann, campaigning Mental Health Nurse based locally was also elected.
Last week Bolton Unison mourned the loss of Branch Chairman Graham Walmsley who died on June 6.
Andrea said: "He was very welcoming and happy. He was a loyal trade unionist and a dutiful branch chair."
