CONTINUING our occasional delve into the archives to unearth sports teams in and around the Bolton area we thought it only appropriate to turn our attention to cricket.
It is June after all and with restrictions having been eased, cricket grounds are now hives of activity over the weekends.
Bolton has always had a very strong cricket tradition and for this selection of photographs we are looking at teams from around the late 1980 and early 1990s.
Perhaps you were a member of one of the teams or maybe you played against them.
You may have gone along to watch - or in the case of wives and girlfriends, had to accept that for the summer months that was your weekends taken care of.
We hope this selection will bring back happy memories and we will be heading back into archives for more sports teams in due course.
