Emergency services were called to a crash on a major road through Ramsbottom this morning.
Police were called around 6.05 this morning to an accident involving two cars on the junction of Bolton Road West and Lumb Carr Road.
The fire service said it was a relatively low speed collision, with no one having to be cut out of a vehicle.
The ambulance service has confirmed that one woman, in her 30s, was taken to hospital with potential neck injuries.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman, said: "Officers were called around 6.05am today (Thursday 13 May) to Lumb Carr Road, Ramsbottom to a report of a collision.
"Emergency services attended and enquiries established two vehicles has been in collision.
"No arrests have been made."
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, said: "We believe the crash happened as one car was joining Bolton Road West from Lumb Carr Road.
"It was a relatively low speed collision so there was not too much damage although traffic was affected for a while.
"One of the drivers did complain of neck pain so we kept her as still as possible until paramedics arrived."
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to the scene at 06.36 this morning, and we have taken a woman in her 30s to the hospital with a potential neck injury."
