LEIGH are looking to build on only their third win of the season, but face a side on top of their form.
Stalybridge knocked Hyde off the top of the Blue Square North with an impressive 3-1 midweek win and visit Hilton Park bursting with confidence.
But they will face an RMI outfit who are also buzzing after they provided manager Steve Bleasdale with his first league win since he took over eight games ago.
Young striker Mark Smyth grabbed two goals in the opening six minutes to put the Railwaymen on their way to a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Workington Reds, a side that had knocked them out of the FA Trophy only two weeks previously.
Bleasdale's recent captures, striker Dean Walker and defenders Ryan Mitchell and Andy Wright, have helped turn Leigh's fortunes around.
The first league win in 10 games also lifted RMI off the bottom of the table, but Bleasdale is not getting carried away.
He said: "The players gave me everything and we were more organised. We can get it right but it needs time. We are not a million miles away. We need to pick up points over the next three games to give us a chance of climbing out of the relegation zone.
"The win pulled us off the bottom of the table, but we can't get carried away.
"Stalybridge had a good win over the top of the table and hopefully they will take us lightly."
The manager is delighted with Smyth's form but says that the arrival of Walker has made a big difference.
"He puts himself about up front and he laid on both of Smyth's goals against Workington," Bleasdale added.
