FOUR people have been charged with burglary and drug offences after a grandmother was stabbed to death in Leigh two years ago.
Debbie Twist, 47, was fatally stabbed at an address on Manchester Road on Sunday, March 17.
Following her death, a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed pending further enquiries.
But after consultation with the CPS, no further action will be taken against the man, police have said.
A 37-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was also released under investigation.
A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with arm injuries after the incident too.
However, Jordan Winstanley, 27, of Radnor Drive, Leigh, and Robbie Arnold, 21, of Suffolk Grove, Leigh, have now both been charged with aggravated burglary.
And Bethany Twist, 21, of Devon Street, Leigh, and Adam Guy, 23, of Turner Street, Leigh, have also been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.
They have all bailed and are set to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court today.
Following Debbie's death, the family paid tribute to her.
It read: “Debbie wasn’t just a mum. She was our best friend and a friend to many.
“She was the best nanna to Elise, Myla and Maisie and mother-in-law to Adam.
“She was the much loved sister of Brian, Anne-Marie, Kelly and Sean.
“She was taken from us too soon and under tragic circumstances. She will be missed by everyone."
