STEVE Bleasdale's hopes of an early Christmas present were shattered when his side "caved in" during the last 20 minutes.
Promotion hopefuls Kettering were frustrated by the Railwaymen's defensive formation, but when it was finally breached in the 74th minute, the floodgates opened.
"We went with a game plan and it worked well until they got a goal and we just caved in," said a disappointed Bleasdale, who is still looking for his first league win since he took the reins.
"We lost our discipline and the lads' heads went down.
"It could have been so different as, just before their goal, Mark Smyth went through but his shot hit the crossbar."
David Bridges broke the deadlock and added a second four minutes later before Mark Rawle rubbed salt into Leigh's wounds three minutes from time.
