A TWO minute silence will be held later this month to remember those who have lost their lives at work.
Bolton has its own memorial for International Workers Memorial Day in Victoria Square.
And Bolton Unison, with Bolton South East MP Yasmin Qureshi, will mark the annual ceremony on Wednesday, April 28, at 11am.
Andrea Egan, Bolton Unison branch secretary, said: "Workers Memorial Day is always an important opportunity to remember all those who have tragically lost their lives due to issues at work
"It is also an opportunity to campaign for better health and safety for workers everywhere. This year the day will be especially poignant due to the effect of the global pandemic."
Wreaths will also be laid at the memorial, with Unison's local government and health branches and Bolton TUC also represented at the event.
