Kind-hearted children at Lostock Preschool have been helping to spread some joy this Easter.
Children at the nursery donated more than 40 Easter eggs to the Bolton charity Urban Outreach, to be distributed to children and families in need across the local area.
The delicious treats included Mini Eggs, Creme Egg and Dairy Milk Buttons eggs.
“We discuss with them the importance of families and children that don’t have,” said Lostock Preschool owner Suzanne Hogan. “It helps the children understand that some children don’t have, and it’s nice to be kind and donate, and they really enjoy it.”
The preschool has a long history of helping Urban Outreach with its urgent appeal.
Children at Lostock Preschool recently rallied together to donate other items for the charity, including toilet paper, peas and sweetcorn.
“I’m very proud of the children,” said Suzanne. “Extremely proud.”
A Facebook statement from Urban Outreach celebrated the children’s efforts, saying: “Thank you so much - we appreciate all of your generosity!”
Urban Outreach provides food for households in crisis and offers support for disadvantaged and vulnerable adults and young people across Bolton. For more information, see urbanoutreach.co.uk
