A POLICE investigation surrounding the discovery of a skull in woodland near a former Bolton hotel is ongoing – with two people voluntarily questioned this week in relation to the probe.

Urban explorers Felicity and Daniel Duffy found a skull in woodland near the former Egerton House Hotel in the early hours of Monday March 1, with police immediately called to the scene.

Two weeks ago, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed the remains to be of a human skull and preliminary results from forensic officers suggesting it is less than 50-years-old, and that it most likely belonged to a male.
