EMERGENCY services attended the scene of a crash last night to see a note telling them what had happened.
Fire crews, paramedics and police were called to Jackson Heights Road, in Belthorn, close to the Grey Mare pub, last night.
A Nissan Micra had flipped onto its roof and crashed into a wall.
But there were no casualties at the scene - and instead crews found a note left on the windscreen of the wrecked car.
Watch manager Alan Jones said: "We were called to the incident at around 9pm last night near the Grey Mare pub.
"It was a Nissan Micra had crashed into the stone wall and also over-turned. We were there with the police and ambulance.
"Nobody was in the car at the time but there was a note on the windscreen saying 'Awaiting recovery. Gone to hospital'.
"We just made the scene safe as there was some fuel on the road and were there for about 20 minutes."
