A number of drivers were stopped and reported today for speeding on a main road in Bolton.
Moss Bank Way is a 30 miles per hour road, but police stopped many cars today going over that limit as part of speed enforcement.
One car that was stopped was travelling at 61mph, over double the speed limit of the road.
According to police, the driver thought the road had a speed limit of 40mph, despite travelling at 61mph.
A number of traffic offence reports (TORs) were issued to drivers caught speeding on this day of action on Moss Bank Way.
The various incidents were detailed on GMP's Traffic Twitter page.
One Tweet read: "And this one topped the charts at 61mph! Stopped Moss Bank Way Bolton.
"His reply,"I thought it was a 40 on here". No it's a 30!
"Reported for excess speed".
