A LOCAL dairy has been delivering milk to
across the borough for two years.
Smithills Milk and Ice Creamery has been making home deliveries for two years, starting out on their new adventure in January 2019.
Based at the popular family attraction, Smithills Open Farm, the team launched the business over social media, making Facebook and Instagram posts to promote the new venture.
Now almost 5,000 customers across the Bolton area turn to Carl, Louise, and Anthony Grimshaw for their deliveries.
Marking the milestone, the Grimshaw family said: “What a rollercoaster it has been, never in our wildest dreams did we imagine it to be as popular as it has become.
“There’s such hard work and dedication from a super team of staff at Smithills, including farmhands, dairy staff, delivery men and women and office staff, it’s a great team effort.
“It makes our family very proud to know the produce we make at Smithills is looking after so many local families.
“Our milk travels no further than ten miles from our farm and 99 per cent of the milk we produce goes into reusable glass bottles – think of all the plastic cartons our local customers have saved over the last two years. Without you all, especially during this pandemic, we certainly wouldn’t be here.”
The outfit is still on the lookout for more customers.
