FLYTIPPING is the illegal dumping of items. Those caught flytipping could face a £400 fixed penalty notice or an unlimited fine.
The same applies if someone else dumps waste on that person’s behalf.
Here's how you can report fly-tipping in Bolton.
People are advised to use to a registered waste carrier in the area, which can be found on the Environment’s Agency’s website.

Flytipping can be reported on Bolton Council’s website and the council will often examine flytipped waste to try and locate person responsible for illegally dumping their waste.
Those who catch people flytipping should,make a note of the day, date and time they witnessed the incident and are asked to try to include the registration number of the vehicle.

The council will endeavour to remove the rubbish.
