A BOLTON firm which provides "hangover days" and unlimited holidays to staff is distributing its Christmas party money to employees.

The Audit Lab, a marketing agency based in Chorley New Road, is splitting the £5,000 sum between its 13 employees - meaning £385 each.

The annual Christmas do is usually a chance for the digital firm to give back to their employees, with the company treating them to pricey nights out in Manchester in recent years.

However, with the pandemic preventing anything of the sort, the 'thank you' cash will give staff a boost to end the year on.

Claire Crompton, co-founder and director of the business, said: “We wanted to thank each and every one of our employees for their work throughout 2020.

“This year hasn’t been easy for anyone with lockdowns and restrictions. We like to give back to our people by giving them a big blowout at Christmas, but this year we wanted to show our appreciation in a different way.

"Whether they have their own household Christmas party, put it towards presents or treat themselves, it’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ for helping The Audit Lab get through the incredibly tough year that has been 2020.”

The bonus is just one thing workers benefit from - as well as unlimited holidays, six-hour working days and pay reviews every six months.

The firm also offers "hangover days" - a self-policed policy which enables workers to have an extra glass of wine or two the night before work if they so desire.

Junior PR Manager Hannah Ratcliffe said: "We honestly have so many perks working here."
