WITH dusting of snow over some parts of Bolton today - here we look back at when it REALLY snowed in the town.
Although, no major disruption has been caused, for a brief period we have had some cracking views.
Weather forecasters are predicting a chilly week ahead - but sadly not much more of the white stuff in Bolton.
So we have headed back into the archives to dig out some photographs of snowfalls in years gone by.
Traffic may be brought to a standstill but the good folk of Bolton have always known how to enjoy themselves when the area becomes a winter wonderland.

3. Looking down on a snow covered Victoria Square, December 1968.
4. Up Rivington Pike in the snow, February 1978. Photograph by the Bolton Evening News.
5. Stubbins Church in the snow, February 1970.
6. Ski-ing in Belmont in the snow, December 28, 1964.
7. Turton Tower in the snow, January 1984.
8. In 1963, this car got stuck in the snow near the Toby Inn, Edgworth.
