CHARITY bosses need one last boost to be able to provide 2,000 families across the borough with a Christmas dinner.
Urban Outreach are almost ready to begin packaging up their festive hampers, but have discovered their missing a few essentials after counting the generous donations made over the last few weeks.
Volunteers are desperately asking people to donate 300 of the 750g cartons of custard, and 454g Christmas puddings.
They're also short on bottles of shloer, and boxes of savory crackers – with 500 hampers currently without the festive treats.
The charity's hub at the former Staples Store on Trinity Retail Park will be open to take donations between 9.30 and 11.30am today.
Volunteers will also be available from 10-4pm on Monday, and 10-1pm on Tuesday.
Urban Outreach would usually create 1,300 of their Christmas Dinner on Jesus hampers, but the impact of coronavirus has increased demand this year.
