A CHURCH which is distributing 14 hampers to emergency service workers across Bolton has received support from the Mayor.
Bolton Brownlow Fold Church of The Nazarene, based in Halliwell, is working with the community to create the hampers.
They will be filled with a selection of treats, goodies and gifts.
The church are asking people across Bolton to help organise the hampers.
Cllr Linda Thomas said: “What an excellent generous gesture to provide Xmas hampers for our emergency services by the Church of Nazarene in Halliwell Bolton.
"I do hope people will get behind this local church community and donate towards the hampers.
"It has been recognized how important all these services are to the residents of Bolton and it’s just another opportunity for us to let them know how appreciated they are especially during these very tough times.”
The church is asking for the following donations: biscuits, cakes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mince pies, bars of chocolate, festive treats, and goodies .
Items can be dropped off at the church building between 10am and 2pm every Wednesday or you can email boltonbrownlowfoldcotn@gmail.com if you need it collecting.
