THE Octagon Theatre has revealed who will be performing a reading of A Christmas Carol.
On December 20 viewers can get transported back to Victorian London when Charles Dickens's classic novel will be brought magically to life.
The cast includes Susan Hilton, whose credits include Coronation Street, John Afzal, Brianna Douglas, Neil Ashton, Colin Meredith, Purvi Parmar, Natalie Amber and Sam Black.
Actors will read the entire story aloud and it will be filmed and broadcast from various locations inside the new theatre – giving audiences the opportunity to get a sneak peek at the venue ahead of its opening in early 2021.
It will premiere for free on the Octagon’s Facebook page and YouTube channel on Sunday, December 20, at 2pm.
The reading will then be available to view online over the festive period.
The Octagon’s artistic director, Lotte Wakeham, said: “I’m delighted to be working with this fantastic cast of talented actors, all of whom are based locally to the Octagon.”
