Staff at one primary school went the extra-mile to put a smile back on the face of their pupils as they returned after lockdown.
Harwood Meadows Primary School, Harwood, welcomed staff and students back on September 8 after the summer break, with some new faces joining.
Staff went out of their way to create a rainbow balloon arch to ease the transition and "bring a smile to the faces of staff and pupils".
Office manager, Holy Green, said: "It was fantastic to see photographs of many first days being taken as children stood underneath the arch. Since returning to school, the children have impressed us with their resilience and positive approach to the restrictions placed upon us by Covid-19.
"We are all looking forward to a happy and successful academic year."
