A POLICE dog has put his expert search skills to great use after finding a suspect hiding in woods after a stabbing in Bolton.

Greater Manchester Police dog Tommy was sent to help officers looking for an offender following the incident in the town.

After locating a suspect, the force canine was sent to the scene of a burglary and found a suspect hiding up a tree.

The roads that each of the incidents took place on as well as the date and times of when they happened have not been named by police.

A police spokesman added: "PD Tommy is definitely getting the hang of hide and seek."
