Police were called to Fletcher Street in Great Lever this morning after two cars crashed into each other.
Several emergency vehicles were spotted in the area by a passerby following the incident.
Shortly before 10am this morning two cars collided into each other at the junction of Lever Street and Fletcher Street.
A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital as a precaution following the incident but there were no serious injuries.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9.45am on Wednesday August 12, police were called to reports of a collision on Lever Street, Bolton.
"Officers attended and established that two cars had collided at the junction with Fletcher Street."
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said:"There were two cars involved and we took one patient to hospital in Salford but there were no serious injuries.
"A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital as a precaution, but she was fully conscious and brething. A second patient was discharged at the scene."
