Amir Khan has paid a heartfelt tribute to his new born nephew on Twitter following his tragic death.

The boxer revealed what his family had gone through and shared a photograph of the family at his nephew's burial on social media.

He asked his fans to keep the family in their prayers and expressed his emotional support for the baby's parents.

Abdul Khan, son of Amir's brother Haroon, sadly passed away on Wednesday July 1 after he was born.

Amir Khan said in the Tweet: "Tough day for the family. My nephew, son of my brother Haroon Khan, passed away yesterday.

"The new born didn't make it. May Allah make it easy for the family, especially the mother and father, please keep us in your prayers."
