Emergency services are attending a large fire at Firwood Industrial Estate, Thicketford Road, Bolton.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have advised residents to keep their windows and doors shut and to avoid the area.
They said: "We are currently dealing with a fire at an industrial estate on Thicketford Road in Bolton.
"Crews are working hard to contain the fire. Avoid the area and keep your windows and doors shut."
A resident said: "The electical company, Homespare Centres on Firwood Industrial Estate is on fire and has been burning for around an hour. Fire brigade is on the scene."
Several fire crews are in attendance, Bolton Central fire service have confirmed that they have sent two pumps to the fire.
GMP Bolton North said: "There are a number of emergency service vehicles at the junction of Thicketford Road/Alders Lane in response to the fire at Firwood Industrial Estate. Please avoid the area."
A local resident reported that the fire was visible from Cartmel Crescent.
