Fairtrade fortnight came to life at the weekend with a pop-up shop run by the champions of fairtrade in Bolton.
Justicia, which has been in Bolton since 1985, was accompanied by fairtrade partners Aster Starlight , which opened in 2018, joining forces to raise awareness and sell a range of fairtrade goods to passers by.
This was helped along by the Bolton Fairtrade Town group, who work very closely with the council, pushing the town’s commitment to fairtrade — Bolton was one of the first towns to be officially declared a fairtrade town in 2002.
Gareth Leatham, Bolton's Fairtrade Coordinator, said: "These events are very important for raising awareness to what we do as a small group."
