An Amazon worker from Bolton has just returned from a prized trip to Seattle, complete with trips to the Space needle, the Pike Place Market and a ticket to the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Agnieszka Oles, who works at the Amazon warehouse in Over Hulton, won the trip to America through Amazon's I Found the Right Place programme.
This programme invites Amazon employees working across the UK to say why Amazon is the right place for them and what they love most about life at Amazon.
More than 600 employees took part in the application from across Amazon's UK customer fulfilment network - with the winners given the opportunity to visit the company's headquarters in Seattle.
Agnieszka in her application said that she believes she has achieved more in one year with Amazon than in ten years at other jobs.
She commented that she "loves the progression opportunities" to everyone at Amazon and said that her team is "absolutely brilliant".
The trip to Seattle was for a week, where she was joined by colleagues from across the UK.
The employees were given a tour of Amazon's global headquarters and a robotics fulfilment centre, where they were able to meet Dave Clark, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations at Amazon.
Agnieszka was also able to enjoy the city itself at restaurants, such as FareStart, which helps fund programmes to alleviate people from poverty and homelessness and gives apprentices real-world job experience.
Speaking on the trip, Agnieszka said: "It was great to meet colleagues in the US in such a friendly environment and I loved seeing some of the dogs who come to Amazon Campus every day!
"Seattle is a vibrant, beautiful city. It's been the trip of a lifetime and I'd urge all of my colleagues at Amazon in Bolton to sign up for the next I Found the Right Place programme."
Nicolas Verdon, Site Leader at Amazon in Bolton, added: "Agnieszka's story of why she loves working at Amazon was fantastic and we were proud to see her jet off to Seattle on the trip.
"It was great to welcome Agnieszka home and we loved hearing all about her trip."
