Volunteer litter pickers have cleared masses of rubbish from the banks of the River Croal.
The clean-up of Croal Street took place on Sunday January 5, and was organised by The Litter Pickers of North Bolton.
People from Bolton West and Horwich First Litter Pickers and the Bolton River Clean Up also came along to make up the group of 19.
The team cleared 200 bags of rubbish from the embankment, with dozens of needles, two Christmas trees, a set of old keys, a metal pole and two toilets all making their way to the tip.
The team will be back out on Sunday January 19 at 9am for more litter picking.
Anyone is welcome to join them on the day, and the only thing needed is gardening-style gloves.
Regular volunteers will provide the rest of the equipment required.
