A NURSERY has been praised by school inspectors for using children's interests to "skilfully engage children in their learning".
Heaton Dene Nursery was marked as good in all areas by Ofsted, which found staff have high expectations of children's progress.
Inspectors reported that staff "take time to learn about children's interests and use these to support their development".
This includes transforming the nursery into a scene from children's favourite books.
And children were said to develop their independence from a young age and are encourage to make their own choices
Ofsted stated: "Staff provide a clam and relaxed atmosphere. They have high expectation of children's behaviour and support children well to achieve them."
Inspectors added: "The manager and staff build strong relationships with parents and families.
Parents know how their children are progressing and feel well informed about events at the setting."
