ACTIVISTS who have rallied together to stand in the way of a major development going ahead at Hulton Park are inviting members of the public for a walk around the historic estate this Christmas.
Hulton Estate Area Residents Together (HEART) are organising a walk around the public footpaths of the estate which will take place on Friday.
The campaigners who have fought tooth and nail against a Ryder Cup golf course, hotel and more than a thousand homes being built at the site, are inviting their supporters to "sleigh the development" this Christmas.
They said: "Should planning permission be granted for a golf resort and houses, the footpaths will be moved into the middle of the housing estate."
Anyone wishing to join should meet at 702 Manchester Road in Over Hulton at midday on Friday, December 27.
Car parking is available nearby at Mary Seacole House in Brancker Street.
