BOLTON West Conservative candidate Chris Green has promised to lobby for more bobbies on the beat in his constituency if re-elected
He said he would make the case for more police officers for the town regardless of which party was in government.
Mr Green said: “After Brexit, law and order is the number one issue on the doorstep.
“Residents are particularly concerned about about low-level anti-social behaviour.
“They want to see an expansion of real neighbourhood policing - bobbies on the beat.
“Boris Johnson has promised 20,000 extra officers nationwide and if we form the government I want to ensure our fair share comes to Bolton West.
“If I am re-elected, I will lobby the Prime Minister and Home Secretary regardless of which party forms the government to ensure Greater Manchester gets its share of new police and then lobby the Chief Constable and the Mayor of Greater Manchester to make sure Bolton gets its fair share of those officers.”
