FOR staff it is simply a “privilege” to work at St Michael’s CE Primary School in Great Lever, this year’s Primary School of the Year.
The school was nominated by parent Majida Hayat, who loves the school so much she now works there and is now training to be teacher, no greater praise indeed.
Mrs Hart said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received this award, an award that is for everyone in our school family — children, staff, governors and families. It is a privilege to be head of such a happy and inclusive school with wonderful children who are so eager and enthusiastic to learn. Our staff and governors are passionate, dedicated and wholly committed to providing the very best educational and developmental opportunities for our children at all times. They are truly a fantastic team. We have close ties with our families who value the work that the school does to support and guide learners throughout their education at St Michael’s CE Primary.” The fact that the deciding nomination came from a parent is particularly special as it endorses the mutual respect that our school and families have for each other.
The school motto of ‘Sharing, Caring and Learning Together’ underpins all that we do and this award of ‘Primary School of the Year’ is a school family celebration of our many achievements.
St Michael’s CEP is a very special place, where a community comes together in the shared pursuit of giving children the best possible life chances and preparing them to be amazing citizens of the future.
