THE Labour Party has reselected Yasmin Qureshi as its candidate in Bolton South East ahead of the general election.
Ms Qureshi, who was first elected to parliament in 2010, announced the news on Twitter yesterday.
She said: "I am please to announce that I have been unanimously reselected by the [Constituency Labour Party] and my nomination for the General Election 2019 has been accepted. I'm looking forward to fighting this election to defeat Tory Austerity in Bolton South East."
The Conservatives announced that ex-soldier Johno Lee will be their candidate for the seat.
The Lib Dems have selected Kevin Walsh.
Kearsley councillor Mark Cunningham was selected as The Brexit Party candidate.
David Figgins is expected to stand for the Greens.
Nomination close at 4pm.
